At Boyton Primary School, we can offer each and every child the holistic and emotional care they deserve in order to achieve their full potential. We believe that our core values help to provide children with the right environment to feel a sense of belonging and achievement.
At Boyton, all staff at the school are supported and trained to gather the experience they need to meet the needs of all the children in our care. Children's abilities vary over a wide range, and many children have times, temporary or long term, when they may need extra support. Please contact your child's teacher as the first point of contact if you have any concerns about your child.
Examples may include:
- Specific problems with reading, writing or maths
- Emotional or behaviour problems
- A child with learning difficulties
- Visual, speech and language, hearing or mobility problems
- Children with exceptional gifts or abilities
The staff and governors are committed to ensuring that all SEND pupils reach their full potential, are fully included within the school community and are able to make successful transitions between classes and schools.
At Boyton Primary School, we believe it is essential to work in partnership with parents and carers. as a school, we try to keep in daily contact with parengts and carers and value an 'open door' policy should you ever need to discuss any problems or concerns with us.
SEND pupils at Boyton primary School will have their own provision map detailing targets and the teaching support they receive. this will be shared with parents and carers by your child's class teacher on a termly basis.
On occasions, it is necessary to engage other professiomals to work in partnership with the schools to meet pupil need. This could include individuals from the Local Authority, Health and social services. This also includes writing an Early Help Assessment to ensure that every pupil recieves the best possible provision and outcomes. The SENDCo is the Lead Practitioner at the school to coordinate the Early Help Assessment process.
