DFE Update 2023

In the Government document, 'Sustainability and Climate Change: a strategy for the education and children's services systems, the Government states:

Through education, we have the privilege to be able to engage directly with children and young people who:

• are passionate about the natural world
• want to do their best to protect it
• can influence their wider communities 

Through the learned and lived experiences from early years to further and higher education, we will provide opportunities to develop a broad knowledge and understanding of the importance of nature, sustainability and the causes and impact of climate change and to translate this into positive action and solutions.

This fits directly with the curriculum planning for Climate and Sustainability which we have implemented at Boyton Primary.
