What to Wear?

 

We use all sorts of messy play materials, so we ask parents/carers to please send their children to nursery in clothes which are easily washable or not too new. Children who are in reception are expected to wear school uniform.

Simple clothing which the child can manage himself/herself is good for building self-esteem – and makes going to the toilet easier too!  Our specially designed low level toilet and wash basin are perfect for helping little learners to become more independent!

Please also send a painting apron or over-sized t-shirt/shirt for painting and messy play activities - thank you.

 

Most of our learning will take place outdoors, so please ensure that your child has a waterproof coat, leggings and wellies with them every day.  They will need warm clothing in the Autumn/Winter/Spring and a sun hat/sun cream for warmer weather.  A change of clothes is essential too.
