About us...
As a small rural school, we can offer your child a rich and varied learning environment throughout their early years at Boyton. We are part of the primary school, so we can provide a smooth transition from our EYFS class into year 1. With over 20 years of experience, our qualified teacher is well equipped to provide stimulating activities to help children to learn to make friends, take turns, negotiate and begin the journey towards KS1.
We provide a caring setting where children can learn to socialise with other children and adults in a safe and happy environment, giving them the confidence to express themselves in their own ways and become independent learners.
We believe that children learn and develop well if they are given a variety of opportunities, including the following:
- Lots of outdoor learning to encourage a love of the world around us, as well as an understanding that we must care for our environment.
-
Loose parts play to encourage imagination and curiosity about the world around them.
-
Authentic and natural resources to invite curiosity and discussion.
-
Child-led learning based on interests, schemas, home life and cultures, which we use to inform future planning.
-
Regular opportunities for wellbeing and mindfulness - we promote yoga, music, singing and dancing as well as using all of our senses to explore the world around us.
